Doris Nell (Abbott) Jordan ODESSA TEXAS AT 5:33PM Doris Nell Jordan, born July 5, 1938, in Stephenville, Texas, to Jack and Lona Abbott, passed away January 31, 2026 in Odessa, Texas; peacefully surrounded by family. Doris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great - grandmother whose life was centered around her family. She shared 69 years of marriage with her husband and the love of her life, Donald Lee Jordan, whom she married on December 11, 1956 in Eastland, Tx. This year would have marked seventy years together. Doris graduated in 1956 from Eastland High School and worked shortly as a telephone operator. She was deeply involved in her daughters' lives and activities, serving as an active member of the PTA and a dedicated Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed working as a teacher's aide, helping elementary - aged children in mathematics and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lona Abbott; her siblings, Wayne Parsons, Jackie Tucker, and Charlene Marenger; and her daughters, Vickie Jordan and Donna Hodge. Doris had waited a long time to be reunited with her daughters, and while her family grieves her passing, they find comfort in imagining the joyful reunion she is now having with Donna and Vickie. She is survived by her husband, Donald Lee Jordan; her daughter, Sandra Jordan; her granddaughters, Gwendolyn, Alexandria, and Jacquelyn; her son - in - law, Gene Hodge; her grandson, Phillip Hodge; and her great - grandchildren, Matthew and Ashton Hodge. Visitation will be held Friday February 6th from 5 - 7pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Funeral services will be held Saturday February 7th, at 3pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love, support, and prayers during this difficult time.
