Ida Little ODESSA Ida Little, 74, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026. She was born on November 21, 1951, in Pecos, Texas. Ida was raised in Pecos, where she attended school and then moved to Odessa. She spent many years working in Payroll for Southland Corporation (7 - Eleven) before health challenges led to her retirement approximately 30 years ago. Ida married Bob Little, and although their marriage later ended in divorce, they remained close friends throughout the years, a testament to the mutual respect and care they continued to share. Above all else, Ida's greatest joy and purpose in life was her son, Bobby. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to raising him and ensuring he always knew he was deeply loved. Her love only grew as her family expanded, and she treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren, Ryan and Karson. She was especially excited to welcome Ryan's daughter and her first great - granddaughter, Jeydibeth Little. Ida had a servant's heart and found great happiness in caring for those she loved. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, always doing everything she could to provide for others. Though she never considered herself a pet person, that quickly changed when Bobby entrusted her with his beloved Lhasa Apso, Cisco. Cisco became her constant companion, and she adored him until his passing. Anyone fortunate enough to know Ida knew the kindness and warmth she carried. She had an enormous heart, genuinely cared for others, and was always willing to lend a listening ear or helping hand. Her quiet strength, compassion, and selflessness left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Ida was a devoted Christian of the Lutheran faith. Although health issues made it difficult for her to attend church regularly, her faith remained unwavering. She leaned on the Lord through every season of life and found comfort, strength, and peace in her relationship with Christ. In her quieter moments, Ida enjoyed watching her favorite soap operas and game shows, especially The Price Is Right and Wheel of Fortune. She was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan and never passed up the chance to watch anything that included Tom Cruise! Ida's legacy is one of unconditional love, unwavering faith, and quiet generosity. She dedicated her life to her family and to caring for those around her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her beloved son, Bobby Little and his wife, Kelley, of Prosper, Texas; her sister, Josie Bewely; her cherished grandson, Ryan and granddaughter, Karson; and a precious great - grandchild on the way. She was eagerly anticipating this newest addition to the family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Magdelina "Mary" Duarte, and her brother, Jesse Duarte. A memorial service celebrating Ida's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Hubbard - Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ida's memory to the SPCA, honoring her kind heart and the special bond she shared with her beloved Cisco.
