Larry Dale McElmurry ODESSA Larry McElmurry passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, following a years - long battle with cancer. Larry is survived by his wife, Analiza; his mother, Doris; his sister, Diane; his sons, Blake, Brady, and Brett; his daughters - in - law, Melissa and Tamara; and his beloved dogs, Nikea and Bella. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Mason, Grace, and Emma. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack, and his brother, Randy. Larry was a longtime resident of Odessa and also called Austin and Tatala, Binangonan, Rizal, Philippines home at different times throughout his life. An avid tennis fan and player, Larry enjoyed both watching and playing the sport. He also found great enjoyment in hunting and fishing. Professionally, Larry dedicated many years to advancing the field of natural gas analysis. He was deeply involved with ASTM D3 committees and was recognized as an expert in gas chromatography. His knowledge, contributions, and commitment to his field left a lasting impact on the industry. A graveside memorial service and inurnment will be held on Friday, September 25th, at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
