Brian Ellis Wilkerson MIDLAND Brian Ellis Wilkerson, 61, of Midland, Texas, passed away on May 23, 2026, after an extended illness. Brian was born on August 27, 1964, in Odessa, Texas, to Hildred "Hot Shot" and Billie Ruth (Shugart) Wilkerson. He was a devoted Christian whose faith guided his life and relationships. For many years, Brian was a faithful member of Odessa First Baptist Church and most recently attended Midland First Baptist Church, where he continued serving the Lord and his church family. Brian worked for many years as a master bookkeeper and was known for his dedication, reliability, and attention to detail. He also faithfully served in the audiovisual departments at both Odessa First Baptist Church and Midland First Baptist Church, always willing to lend his time and talents wherever needed. An avid coin collector, Brian enjoyed pursuing his hobbies and living life on his own terms. He was deeply loyal to his family and friends, a great listener, and someone who genuinely cared for those around him. Brian found contentment in the simple joys of life and was happiest being true to himself while remaining steadfast in his faith. He is survived by his sisters, Debra Gordon of Salida, Colorado, and Shirley Peterson of San Antonio, Texas, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, in - laws, and extended family members. Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Hildred "Hot Shot" Wilkerson and Billie Wilkerson, and by his brothers, Paul Wilkerson and Jerry Wilkerson.
