Joseph Wilfred "LaCour" Clark ODESSA, TEXAS Joseph Wilfred "LaCour" Clark passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on February 9, 1955, to Hollice and Sylvia Clark. LaCour was the fifth of seven children and the first son in a close - knit family. Throughout his life, he remained devoted to his family, work, community, and the outdoors. LaCour is survived by his sons, Chris Clark of Odessa, Jarrod Clark of Odessa, and Hollice Clark of McKinney, Texas; his daughter - in - law, (Chris' wife) Mandy Clark; and his beloved grandson, Cameron Clark. He is also survived by his stepchildren and their families: McClure Wallace, his wife, Brinn, and their children, Jackson and Mae, of Reno, Nevada; and McKenzie Genecov, her husband, Michael, and their children, Ezra and Lily, of Park City, Utah. He is further survived by his six siblings and their families, including Christina Wright of San Angelo; Minka Sibert and husband, Scott, of Odessa; Holly Perkins and husband, Wayne, of Odessa; Carmen Randolph and husband, Mike, of Cross Plains, Texas; Robbin Clark and wife, Anne, of Houston; and Kevin Clark and wife, Carleen, of the Paako Communities, New Mexico. Nothing was more important to LaCour than family. His love for his sons was profound and becoming a grandfather brought him immense joy. Few things made him happier than spending time with Cameron. He was deeply grateful for the love and support of his children and felt blessed to feel the same love and tenderness in return. After graduating from Permian High School, LaCour joined his father in the family business, Hollice Clark Inc. which built and repaired oilfield trucks, trailers and equipment. He eventually assumed ownership and successfully led the company with integrity for more than three decades. Following his retirement in Odessa, LaCour devoted much of his time to serving others. For more than twenty years, he volunteered at Ronald McDonald House, offering comfort and encouragement to families during some of life's most difficult moments. He also faithfully served with Meals on Wheels and Food2Kids quietly helping those in need. As a young man, LaCour was active in the Odessa Jaycees, serving as president and spending many years on the organization's pyrotechnics team, helping create memorable community celebrations. LaCour found great joy in hunting, especially duck hunting along the Pecos River with family and friends. In later years, his appreciation for the quiet respite in nature with friends and family outweighed the hunt. LaCour was a man of quiet reflection that deeply cared about the people he loved. He will be remembered for his generous heart, quiet strength, unwavering integrity, and enduring love for his family. Though he will be profoundly missed, the love he gave, the example he set, and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever. A Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm, preceding family visitation (lasting until 8:00 pm) on Tuesday, July 7, at Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 6801 E. I - 20BL, Odessa, TX 79762. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 8, at 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 7601 N. Grandview Ave., Odessa, TX, followed by private family internment.
