Lane Wilson ODESSA Freeman Lane Wilson formerly of Odessa, TX passed away on September 4th, 2026 in Abilene. Lane is survived by his wife Cricket Wilson of Brownwood, TX. His son Trevor Wilson of Odessa, TX. His mother Annita Wilson Welborn of Kingsland, TX. Lane was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Dell Wilson and his beloved Bouvier, Eland. Lane graduated from Permian High School. Lane was employed with Oil Works in Odessa for the past 30+ years where he was very respected by many. Lane loved his job and was extremely competent. Mentoring many others in the oil field. Lane was known as "Mr. Oil Works" for many years. He married the love of his life, Cricket on February 14, 1997. Together they went on many adventures and enjoyed life to the fullest. One of Lanes favorite past times was playing a round of golf with his beloved son, Trevor who he was extremely proud of. Lane was a member of the Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang. There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday October 2nd at 11:am in Barn A at the Coliseum in Odessa, TX.
