Mary Alice Cedillos ODESSA, TEXAS Mary Alice Cedillos, a devoted pastor's wife, loving spouse, mother, grandmother, and great - grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on November 29, 1947, Mary was known for her gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and deep love for her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Aldaberto Sanchez; her mother, Hortencia Sanchez; her sisters, Oralia S. Lara and Bertha S. Patino; her brother, Alonzo A. Sanchez; four baby sisters and four great - grandchildren, including Baby Han Russell Battenfield, Baby Angel Herrera and Baby Serentiy Cedillos, and Ezekiel Shane Penaloza. Mary Alice is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Francisco Cedillos Jr., and their children: sons Rene Sanchez Cedillos and daughter in - law Jessica Cedillos, Randy Sanchez Cedillos and daughter in - law Ingrid Baeza; daughters Rosella Sadie Cedillos Evaro and son in - law Christopher Paul Evaro, Rhonda Ann Penaloza and son in - law Daniel Penaloza, Reina Lee Acosta and son in - law Timothy James Acosta. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Jennifer Lynn Cedillos Battenfield and spouse/grandson Tanner Battenfield, Sabrina Leeann Cedillos, Joshua Lopez Cedillos, Elijah Rosendo Evaro and fiance/granddaughter Amanda Slater, Diego Christopher Evaro, Isabella Abigail Evaro, Isaiah Aaron Cedillos, Caleb Nathaniel Cedillos, Maximus Arelius Cedillos, Kris Kameron Valdez, Immanuela Ann Penaloza, Francisco Daniel Penaloza Jr., Javorian Cain Acosta and fiance/granddaughter Jazmine Thompkins, and Ayana Nirel Acosta. Her beloved great - grandchildren include Hendrix Battenfield, Liam Cedillos, and Reina Elizabeth Acosta, Isaiah IbenThompkins who brought her immeasurable joy and love. Mary Alice is also survived by her sisters and brothers: Delia S.Ortiz,, Dora S. Rodriguez, Olga S. Mata, Sonny Sanchez Jr., Orlando R. Sanchez, and Joel Sanchez and litter brother David Sanchez. Mary Alice found great joy in reading, listening to music?especially praise and worship songs?and dancing, particularly when surrounded by her family. Her home was a place of warmth, wisdom, and laughter. As a pastor's wife, she lived her faith through quiet strength, compassion, and grace, always ready with a listening ear and a loving heart. One of her many favorite scriptures is "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!" - Psalms 150:6. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
