Roger Dale Underwood GLADEWATER Roger Dale Underwood (58) entered into eternal rest on Wednesday July 23, 2025 surrounded by loved ones in his home in Gladewater, Texas. He was born on August 15, 1966 in Snyder, Texas. Throughout his life he lived and worked in many different places. He married three times. In his younger years he worked hard and played harder and had a love for motorcycles and wild music. In later years, Roger strengthened his interest in prepping and planning a country life that included hunting, fishing, and "looking after his people" as he used to say. Caring about his family's well being was important to him. Even though he left before he could buy that plot of land he always dreamed of, he can finally be at peace with his cabin in the sky, sitting on the porch with his dad, overlooking a celestial pond full of fish, waiting for the day we are all together again. "Death is only a horizon, and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight." - Rossiter Worthington Raymond Roger was proceeded in death by his father, Floyd (Woody) Underwood. He is survived by his mother, Jimmye McBride and stepfather Rick McBride, his sister, Teresa Tenley with Darryl Mullens, his children, Courtney Nickell with Terry Dacus, Matthew Underwood with Brittney Underwood, and Harley Underwood with Chloe Underwood, his grandchildren, Penelope Nickell, Timothy Nickell, Anthony Fabbri, Hazel Underwood, and Julian Underwood, his niece, Micki Valkema with Corey Valkema, and great nieces, Emily Nolan and Ellie Valkema, and mothers of his children, Connie Proper and Mashell Badley, as well as many other family members and loved ones that might not be mentioned here, but were still very close to his heart. A memorial gathering is scheduled to be held on Sunday August 3, 2025 from 2pm - 4pm at 103 Municipal Drive, Gilmer, Texas 75645 for any who are able to attend. Thank you to everyone for all their love, support, and prayers. ?? FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS ??
