Frank Mullins AUSTIN, TX Franklin Rex Mullins, the youngest of six children, was born to Glenn and Daisy (Johnson) Mullins on January 4, 1937, in Duenweg, Missouri. He attended school in Duenweg, and after graduation, joined the U.S. Army in January 1955 at the age of 18. Frank served with the Seventh Army's 97th Signal Battalion. Frank completed his basic training at Fort Bliss and trained as a teletype operator at Camp Gordon, Georgia, before being stationed in Germany. After his military service, Frank returned home to Missouri and began building a family. He settled in Webb City, Missouri, where he raised his four children: Tony, Michele, Mary, and Donna. In 1973, as a single father, Frank moved his family to Odessa, Texas. There, through hard work and perseverance, he began his long career with Champion Technologies, where he remained for 25 years. In June 1975, Frank married JoAnn (Doran) Fields, who brought two children, Paige and Sean, into the family. Together, Frank and JoAnn blended their families into one, raising six children with dedication, kindness, laughter, and unwavering love. After retirement, Frank and JoAnn made their home in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Frank found joy in golfing, watching St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Tech games, reading, and singing in church. He cherished the time spent visiting his children and grandchildren. Later in life, they relocated to Temple, Texas, to be closer to family as his health declined. Frank devoted his life to Christ and lived as a faithful example of love, trust, and humility. His life's testimony continues to inspire those who knew him. He and JoAnn were blessed to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 3, 2025. Frank went home to be with the Lord on June 22, 2025, at the age of 88.
