Peggy Jean Weilmuenster McCulloch ODESSA, TX Peggy Jean McCulloch (nee Weilmuenster) was born in Boonville, Missouri, March 15,1931. Though she lived most of her life in Odessa, Texas, she passed away in Conroe, Texas, on January 16, 2026. She was the daughter of Eduard Phillip Weilmunster and Minnie Lucile Ehrle/Early. She is survived by her son Michael and his wife Kathleen McCollum, her daughter Betty Manning, her sister, Edwina Phyllis Clift, and brother Jerome Quinter Weilmuenster. Peggy lived a charmed life. Her husband "Mac", and then her son Michael and his wife Kathleen, provided the resources for Peggy to travel all over the world and to be involved in multiple civic activities. She was the past - president of Ladies Shrine Club, The Epsilon Mu Chapter of ESA, and Junior Cotillion. She served on the boards of March of Dimes and the Council on Alcoholism, and on the founding board of Clover House. She was an active member of St. John's and St. Barnabas' Episcopal Churches, Read & Review Book Club, Mission Women's Golf Association, Medical Center Auxiliary for fifty years, Fiesta del Arte, Art Institute for the Permian Basin, Crystal Ball Foundation, the Ector County Ladies Sheriff's Posse, Leadership Odessa Alumni, and Women's Democratic Club. As if Peggy was not busy enough, she was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She took great pride in having a member of her family being involved in the formation of a country that would end up being a beacon of democracy for the world. Going to Washington D.C. to participate in the DAR conferences was one of her favorite activities. Interment of Peggy's ashes took place at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Her memorial is at the foot of her parents' gravesite.
